The Internal Security Forces (ISF) and Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation in higher education, training & continuing education, community service, and capacity building joint initiatives. The MoU was signed at the headquarters of the Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) on October 24, 2017 by the Director General of Internal Security, Major General Imad Osman and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, Dr. Hatem Alamy. Chairman of the Board of Trustees Dr. Hatem Alamy assured that MUBS is moving forward in developing partnerships with governmental institutions and civil society organizations. He also highlighted the strategic fit of the university with the Internal Security Forces regarding certificates and training, in particular the Postgraduate Diploma in Traffic Safety that was developed with the support of three European partner universities from Sweden, Spain, and Poland within the framework of the Menasafe Erasmus+ project.

22790785 10214231464039058 2122575008 oThird and the last student training at European universities took place at Linköping University in Nörrkoping in Sweden from 9th – 20th of October 2017. The students took part in several lectures run by LiU professors. All students who have attended the training within Menasafe project received Certificates of attendance. During the consortium meeting Project Partners discussed progress and accreditations, the final version of the books, equipment and software to be acquired.

Master's courses were approved by the Consortium Members and they are: Highway and Traffic Engineering Fundamentals, Traffic Safety Fundamentals, Traffic Safety and (human) Road User Behavior, Statistical and Data Analysis for Traffic Safety, Traffic Safety Management, Road Risk Analysis and Management, Traffic Simulation and Safety, Information and Communication Technologies for Traffic Safety, Highway Engineering and Safety, Road Safety in Urban Areas, Road Safety Policy and Planning.

m pic 2MUBS students who participated in the study visit to Gdansk University of Technology (Poland) in April 2017 within the framework of the Menasafe Erasmus+ project delivered a presentation to their fellow students at MUBS Aley campus. In their presentations, the training received in Poland on road safety strategies & programming, road safety audit & inspection, and road safety statistical analysis was presented. The students also discussed the benefits of this study visit including new personal and intellectual maturity, enhanced employability, and the opportunity to share best practices about traffic safety.
