As part of the MENASAFE activities, 2 students from MUBS will be selected for training on traffic safety hosted by Gdansk University of Technology (Poland) on 17th-30th April 2017. To be eligible to apply for this training opportunity, students must:
• be enrolled at MUBS as a local student,
• have completed at least two semesters of study at MUBS (for undergraduate students) and one semester (for graduate students) by the due date of applications,
• have achieved a cumulative GPA of at least 2.4 for undergraduates and 3.0 for graduates,
• obtain faculty letter of support,
• be a 'good ambassador' for MUBS,
• English language proficiency and readiness to intercultural experience.

Dr. Bassem Kaissi, Dr. Alaa Ramadan, Mr. Wissam Slim, Mr. Mohamed Ghzayel and two students - Noor Abouchahine and Karl Boustani represented MUBS an the Menasafe Erasmus+ project consortium meeting & teachers/students training hosted by Universitat Politècnica de València on the 19th-21st of October 2016 in Valencia (Spain). On the 3rd – 5th of February 2016, a kick-off meeting was held for the “Master Curriculum, Capacity Building and Network Development in Traffic Safety in Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon - MENASAFE” project at Gdansk University of Technology in Poland. It was attended by guests from the universities from Sweden, Spain, Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan chosen for grant support under the Project. Politechnika GdaskaThe venue of the meeting was the Gdansk University of Technology beautiful main building, designed by Hermann Eggertt and Albert Carsten, which was built between 1900 and 1904 in the style of the Northern Renaissance with elements of Art Nouveau.

The event started off with opening of the MENASAFE workshop by dr Joanna Żukowska, project coordinator and it was followed by welcome speech of prof. Prof. Paweł Kłosowski, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and prof. Kazimierz Jamroz, Head of Highway Engineering Department. Having finished a welcome part of the meeting and an introduction of every partner university, dr Ghazwan Al Haji from Linkoping University presented all work packages in details describing the importance of quality and superb cooperation among partners within such projects. The first project meeting was summarized in final fruitful discussion and decided on further steps.


Maciej Sawicki GUTAn information day on international dimension of Erasmus + in higher education took place on the 4th of November in Warsaw and was attended by Ms Paivi Hernesniemi from Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency in Brussels and dr Reem Alkhader from the National ERMASUS + Bureau in Jordan and over 60 participants from higher universities and other institutions from Poland. Maciej Sawicki from Gdansk University of Technology presented goals and programme development of MENASAFE project. The lecture met with great interest among the meeting participants.
